HOMELESS MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDER CHARGE
NEW CITY, N.Y. - Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II. announced that Blanchard Glaudin, 31, homeless, pled guilty to the sole count of the indictment, Murder in the Second Degree (a class “A” felony) in conjunction with the killing of Sandra Wilson on February 18, 2020.
On December 9, 2025, in Rockland County Court, in front of the Hon. Djinsad Desir, Glaudin admitted that on February 18, 2020, at approximately 2:00 p.m., while at the Finkelstein Library, Spring Valley, Rockland County, New York, Glaudin stabbed Sandra Wilson (a security guard at the library) with a knife in her chest and body, causing her death.
Judge Desir promised Glaudin 20 years to Life on the Murder in the Second Degree. The People recommended 25 to Life.
District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II said, “The defendant, Blanchard Glaudin, pled guilty to Murder in the second degree for the senseless killing of a library security guard, a well-respected member of her community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim’s family.”
Glaudin faces a maximum of 25 years to life in state prison on the Murder in the Second Degree charge.
Glaudin was remanded without bail to the Rockland County Jail and awaits sentence, which is scheduled for February 26, 2026.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Dominic Crispino.
It should be noted that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
