SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED IN SPRING VALLEY RESULTS IN ARREST OF MAN FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

NEW CITY, N.Y. – Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced today the arrest of Dimitri Ferguson, 33, of Spring Valley, New York, after an investigation led by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Ferguson was arraigned on May 6, 2026, before the Honorable Patricia Brimais-Tenemille in Spring Valley Justice Court on a Felony complaint charging him with Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child.

This investigation began with a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that was referred to the Rockland County District Attorney’s ICAC Task Force. The results of the investigation led to the execution of a search warrant on March 17, 2025, at the defendant’s home for electronic devices.

The investigation was led by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, New York State Police, and Homeland Security Investigations.

The defendant was released on his own recognizance since the charges are non-bail qualifying offenses.

“Protecting children from sexual predators using the internet to exploit them is a top priority for my Office and I’m proud of the work the Rockland County District Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted,” said District Attorney Walsh.

The case was prosecuted by Supervising Assistant District Attorney Gerard M. Damiani III of the Special Victims Unit.

*It should be noted that criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and that a defendant should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
