EXTRAORDINARY COLLABORATIVE EFFORT BY THE ROCKLAND DRUG TASK FORCE YIELDS CLASS “A” FELONY INDICTMENT FOR RECOVERY OF ONE-HALF A KILOGRAM OF HEROIN
NEW CITY, N.Y. – Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced today that an investigation by the Rockland Drug Task Force into the distribution of heroin in the Village of Airmont under the exceptional direction of Chief of Detectives Deirdre Smith and Drug task Force Director William Martinez has resulted in the indictment against two individuals. Marvin Jeanty, 42, also known as “Cream” of Monroe, NY and Jordan Miranda, 23 of Paterson, NJ are charged as acting individually and in concert with each other for the following charges.

Penal Law § 220.16(1) — Class B felony
On May 19, 2026, Marvin Jeanty, and Jordan Miranda, 23, coordinated the sale of half a kilogram of heroin (in excess of one pound) to other individuals within the Village of Airmont. Jeanty and Miranda knowingly and unlawfully possessed heroin and participated in a transaction for approximately $18,000 of United States Currency in exchange for the heroin.
Marvin Jeanty was arraigned today, October 2, 2026, before the Honorable Kevin F. Russo in Rockland County Court. Bail was set in the amount of $100,000 cash or 1 million dollars bond. His next court appearance is November 25, 2026. Jordan Miranda was apprehended in the State of New Jersey and remains in custody in that state awaiting extradition proceedings back to the State of New York.
This case is being prosecuted by Executive Assistant District Attorney Michael Peterson and Assistant District Attorney Tina Thermadam.
The Rockland County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force is comprised of the District Attorney’s Investigators, along with members from the Town of Ramapo Police Department, Town of Haverstraw Police Department and the Village of Suffern Police Department.
This collaborative investigation was conducted by The Rockland County Drug Task Force with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations. The Drug Enforcement Administration and Paramus Police Department in New Jersey assisted with the apprehension of the Defendants.
District Attorney Tom Walsh said, “The seizure of approximately half a kilogram of heroin represents a significant amount of a dangerous and highly addictive drug that could have caused tremendous harm in our communities. This indictment demonstrates the importance of aggressive, coordinated narcotics enforcement throughout Rockland County. I commend our officers in the Drug Task Force and the local law enforcement agencies that have invested in the safety of Rockland County by participating in and sending members of their respective agencies to participate in this vital Task Force.
I especially want to recognize my Chief of Detectives Deirdre Smith for her extraordinary leadership and unwavering commitment to combating illegal narcotics distribution. Her leadership has been instrumental in strengthening the Drug Task Force and bringing together investigators, prosecutors, and our state and federal law enforcement partners in a coordinated effort to protect the people of Rockland County. I also commend Drug Task Force Director William Martinez for his innovative and comprehensive investigative skills that have rejuvenated the Drug Task Force, and time and time again produce results that significantly protect our communities and the safety of our children. To all the members of the Drug Task Force and assisting agencies, this was a true collaboration, and your professionalism, persistence and dedication are critical to our continuing effort to disrupt the distribution of dangerous narcotics and hold those responsible accountable.”
**It should be noted that a criminal complaint or indictment is merely an accusation, and that a defendant should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
