Rockland DA meets with United States Secret Service in NYC and Forges New Partnership
District Attorney Tom Walsh, Chief Assistant District Attorney Patrick Frawley, and Chief of Detectives Deirdre Smith were honored to meet with members of the United States Secret Service and tour their field office in New York City yesterday. They had the pleasure of meeting with Assistant Special Agent in charge James McHale and Assistant to the Special Agent in charge Christine Farber.
The mission of the United States Secret Service is multi-faceted. They are duty bound to protect the President and Vice-President and provide temporary protection to visiting world leaders. The Secret Service conducts threat assessments and advance protection work for major events and key locations to ensure public safety. They safeguard the integrity of United States currency and conduct investigations into counterfeit currency and financial and cyber crimes that pose a threat to our global financial infrastructure.
DA Walsh stated, βThe meeting on July 17, 2025, was beneficial to the people of Rockland County as we have fostered a partnership with the United States Secret Service to further protect the interests of our citizens. I am thrilled to announce that a detective from my office will now be working collaboratively with the United States Secret Service field office in Brooklyn to assist investigations and gather intelligence on behalf of Rockland County.β
