SPRING VALLEY MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO YEARS’ LONG SEXUAL ABUSE OF A CHILD, FACES A DECADE IN STATE PRISON

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II announced today that Timothy King, 23, of Spring Valley, New York, pleaded guilty on April 29, 2025, in the County Court of Rockland County to Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree (a class B felony). The defendant is scheduled for sentencing on July 29, 2025, before the Honorable Djinsad Desir. Defendant will be sentenced to ten years in state prison with five years of post-release supervision. Prior to the defendant’s release from prison, a Sex Offender Registration hearing will be held, and he will be required to register as a sex offender.

Commencing in the fall of 2018 and proceeding for two years, the defendant subjected an 8-year-old child to sexual abuse at a residence in the Village of Spring Valley. The nature of the sexual abuse consisted of oral sexual conduct, anal sexual conduct, and sexual contact underneath the child’s clothing. In 2024, the child disclosed the abuse to family members who reported the conduct to law enforcement.

Rockland County District Attorney Tom Walsh said, “The young children of Rockland County must be protected and their abusers held accountable. The plea of this defendant, Timothy King, sends the message that sexual predators are not welcome in Rockland.”

The investigation was conducted by the Spring Valley Police Department with assistance from the New York City Police Department, and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit.

The case was prosecuted by Supervising Assistant District Attorney Gerard M. Damiani III.
