2ND GRAND JURY TERM OF 2026 CONCLUDES
NEW CITY, N.Y. – District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announces the completion of the 2nd grand jury term of 2026. The grand jury term started on February 6, 2026, and was completed on March 4, 2026, handing up 11 indictments. The Rockland County District Attorney’s Office is committed to seeking justice for the people of Rockland County in a speedy manner pursuant to the guidelines set forth by the Office of Court Administration. The following is a list of indicted cases:
· Kevin Lema – Assault in the Second Degree; Reckless Endangerment; Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle; Reckless Driving; Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.
· Adeel Awar & Adil Awar – Kidnapping in the Second Degree; Robbery in the Second Degree; Burglary in the Second Degree.
· Dario D. Hernandez-Vazquez – Robbery in the First Degree; Robbery in the Second Degree-Two Counts; Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree.
· Nayib Valdivia – Attempted Disseminating Indecent Material to Minor, Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
· Jordan Noisette – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree; Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.
· Raymond Dorsey – Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
· John Ernske – Criminal Contempt in the First Degree; Criminal Contempt in the Third Degree-Two Counts; Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.
· Myles C. Simms – Criminal Contempt in the First Degre; Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree-Two Counts.
· James Sanders – Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree; Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.
· Gerald Wheeler – Grand Larceny in the Third Degree; Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree.
· Jennfier Sutliff – Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree; Driving While Ability Impaired by Combined Influence of Drugs or of Alcohol and any Drug or Drugs.
*It should be noted that an indictment is merely an accusation, and that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
