DISTRICT ATTORNEY TOM WALSH ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTION BY DRUG TASK FORCE

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh, II, announced today the results of an investigation conducted by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force into Narcotics sales in Rockland County.

On June 12, 2025, a search warrant was executed by members of law enforcement on a residence in the Town of Haverstraw. During the execution of the search warrant a white chunky substance that weighed more than one-half ounce and contained cocaine was seized as evidence, along with $2306.00 in United States Currency. Subsequently, both occupants of the residence, Victor Esteban, 37 and Yohelina Camilo, 34, were arrested and each charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (class “B” Felonies). As the charged offenses are not qualifying bail offenses, they were released on their own recognizance following arraignment in the Town of Haverstraw Court.  The case was investigated by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force with assistance from the Haverstraw Police Department and the Rockland County REACT team.

The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney John Longo and Assistant District Attorney Eleanor Reilly.

**It should be noted that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and that a defendant should be presumed innocent until proven guilty. **
