Joseph began his career in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office in 2008 where he worked in the Appeals and Special Litigation Division. Thereafter, he was assigned to local criminal court, and from 2010 – 2015 served as an ADA in the Special Prosecutions Division focusing on domestic violence and child abuse cases. In 2016 he transferred to the Investigations Division and specialized in narcotics cases. While a member of WCDAO, he tried numerous felony cases and handled felony matters including homicides, adult and child sexual assault, narcotics, assault, burglaries, and firearms possession. In 2021 Joseph went to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. There, he was a member of Trial Bureau 70 and continued to prosecute felony cases. He was later assigned to the Special Victims Bureau as a supervisor in the Domestic Violence Unit. He then transferred to the Financial Frauds Bureau of the Investigation Division where he conducted large scale fraud investigations. In 2023, after a stint in private practice, he returned to law enforcement and worked as an Assistant Deputy Attorney General in the New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force. While with OCTF he directed long term investigations, specializing in large-scale narcotics and firearms trafficking, continuing to try cases until 2025. At that time, he became a Senior Investigative Attorney in the MTA Office of the Inspector General where he led investigations into fraud, corruption, waste, and abuse pertaining to the MTA until joining the RCDAO in 2026.
