Dominic A. Crispino

Chief Assistant District Attorney

Dominic Crispino has served as Chief Assistant District Attorney in 2019 and again since 2026. He has served under four administrations over the past 25 years. Chief Crispino is a career prosecutor beginning his career as an Assistant District Attorney in 2002. Throughout his career, Chief Crispino has handled complex cases ranging from organized crimes, narcotics trafficking, violent crimes and homicides. As Chief Assistant District Attorney, he serves as principal advisor to the District Attorney on matters of internal policy, intergovernmental affairs and manages the office’s legal and investigatory operations. Chief Crispino continues to conduct confidential investigations and prosecute homicides.

Leadership

During his tenure in the RCDAO, Chief Crispino has held every position in the office.  He began his career in justice court  and was promoted in 2005 to Senior ADA where he was assigned to the Narcotics Bureau, Grand Jury Bureau and County Court Bureau.  In 2007 he was promoted to Supervising ADA of the Narcotic Bureau and continued his focus on Narcotics and Violent crimes.  In 2014 he was promoted to Executive ADA in charge of the Narcotics Bureau where he served until 2019.  During his tenure in the Narcotics Bureau he was the liaison to the Rockland County Narcotics Force.  He oversaw 18 major wiretap investigations and also was the lead prosecutor on all homicide cases during that time.  He served as Chief Assistant District Attorney in 2019 and oversaw all day-to-day operations of the office reporting directly to the Acting District Attorney.  In 2020, he was appointed First Assistant District Attorney by DA Walsh and oversaw all major bureaus, including the grand jury, Special Victims Unit, Appeals Bureau, Superior Court Information Bureau, County Court Bureau, Major Crimes Bureau, and Justice Court Bureau.  He continued to prosecute homicide cases.  In 2026, he was promoted to Chief Assistant District Attorney.

Education

Chief Crispino received his Bachelor of Science from Fordham University in 1998, and his Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 2002.  In 2002, he joined the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney.

Notable Cases

  • People v. Eric Lau — convicted after trial of Murder in the Second Degree for the brutal homicide of Jami Erlich in 2009, sentenced to 22 years to life in prison.

  • People v. Juan Perez — Coira-convicted after trial of Murder in the Second Degree for the Attempted Rape and homicide of Deborah Burns in 2013, sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.

  • People v. Nixon Bourguinon — convicted after trial for the strangulation homicide of his girlfriend Shannon Coleman in 2014, sentenced to 20 years to life in prison.

  • People v. Aaron Parker and Patricia Morel — convicted after trial of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree stemming from a wiretap investigation that resulted in the recovery of 300 grams of cocaine, Parker was sentenced to 10 years in prison, Morel was sentenced to 8 years in prison. Parker was later convicted as well as of Operating as a Major Trafficker and sentenced to 10 years in prison concurrent to the other sentence.

  • People v. Dylan Lentini — convicted after trial of Murder in the Second Degree for the brutal stabbing death of Michael Wimbert in 2015, sentenced to 20 years to life in prison.

  • People v. Constantinos Doonan and Jo-Ann Haughey — convicted of causing the death of Doonan’s grandfather Constantinos Mastakouris in 2023.  Doonan pled guilty to Murder in the Second Degree and was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison.  Haughey was convicted of Manslaughter in the First Degree and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

  • People v. Alan Abad a/k/a “Alina Abad” — convicted of Murder in the First Degree and two counts of Murder in the Second Degree for the brutal beating death of his two aunts in 2025. He was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
